EnSo aims to achieve impact at scale. We design and implement projects to achieve this. The projects that are most interesting for us are those that can achieve long term change - our work is often about framing the problem in a way that allows people to see new possibilities. Systems thinking is fundamental to our approach - this means being open to learning, looking for linkages and working with the unusual suspects who might hold the key to a complex problem.
Our approach to project development is simple, but not simplistic - we try to keep the following in mind - whatever the project:
Start with the need you're looking to address and keep focused on impact;
Think systemically - what are the constraints, opportunities and leverage-points for creating wider, system-level change?
Catalysts for change might be technology, skills, financial capital - or all three - but the project needs to create the conditions for impact and effectiveness.
Everything changes the minute you begin - so be committed to learning and adaptation in service of achieving impact, don't hold too rigidly to the idea you started out with...
